Experimental Surrealist Short Film

Summoned into existence by a call for afro-asiatic films, this surrealist experimental short explores the cerebral world of Celeste who is haunted by a demon that is summoning her to return to her Crane Form practice (tai chi, qigong and kung fu). By doing so she reclaims her own shadow-self. With“go back and get it” as the Sankofa call of Black Arts, Dark Crane Form says, “Go back and get your practice or be haunted by your demons".

Created in March 2024 this 9 min 18 second film is currently exhibited at SUNY Old Westbury art exhibition: "Turning to the East".
